REC Limited & UNISED to aid education in Siddharthnagar district of Uttar Pradesh

Siddharthnagar district of Uttar Pradesh: REC Limited and the Unit of Science and Educational Development (UNISED) collaborated to aid education in Siddharthnagar district of Uttar Pradesh. This aid will affect approximately 75,500 children in the Siddharthnagar district of Uttar Pradesh. The initiative aims will provide students access to modern educational tools and resources, where UNISED will provide solar classes, whereas, REC will provide financial aid of 15 Crores.

REC Limited

REC Limited, formerly Rural Electrification Corporation Limited  registered by RBI as a Non-Banking Finance Company (NBFC) and Infrastructure Financing Company (IFC). The company will provide financing Generation, Transmission, Distribution, Renewable Energy etc. In past, REC will nodal agency for Deen Dayal Upadhaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY), Pradhan Mantri Sahaj Bijli Har Ghar Yojana (SAUBHAGAYA), and National Electricity Fund (NEF) and is is the nodal agency for States and Union Territories for the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS). 

Unit of Science and Educational Development (UNISED)

UNISED (Unit of Science and Educational Development) work under the mentorship of Department of Computer Science and Engineering of IIT Kanpur – an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India under the Institutes of Technology Act. They had provided assistance & implementation in govt programme  RAA (Rastriya Avishkar Abhiyan), ICT (Information communication Technology), CAL (Computer Aided Learning), Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL), Innovative Smart Classes. Currently they are providing assistance in Department of Education/ Samagra Shiksha of Delhi, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir etc.
