India, Mozambique, and Tanzania Intitated 2nd edition of Trilateral Naval Exercise IMT TRILAT 24

IMT TRILAT 24: The countries named India, Mozambique, and Tanzania initiated the 2nd edition of the trilateral Naval Exercise titled TRILAT 24. on March 28, 2024. This is a week-long military exercise that started from the date of March 21 and will end on the date of March 28,2024, where the aim of the exercise is to enhance maritime cooperation between the navies of India, Mozambique, and Tanzania.

TRILAT 24: Naval Exercise Overview

Harbour Phase (March 21-24, 2024):

During the Harbour Phase of MT TRILAT 24, intensive training sessions occurred simultaneously aboard INS Tir in Zanzibar and INS Sujata in Maputo. Activities focused on improving operational readiness and cooperation among participating naval forces. Training included:

VBSS Training: Practice sessions for boarding, search, and seizure procedures.
Damage Control and Firefighting Drills: Training to handle emergencies at sea.
Communication Procedures: Refinement of communication protocols for better coordination.
Medical Lectures: Training on medical preparedness and casualty evacuation procedures.

Sea Phase (March 24-28, 2024):

Moving into the Sea Phase, INS Tir and INS Sujata hosted sea riders from the Tanzanian and Mozambique Navies. Joint operations with Mozambique Naval ship Namatili and Tanzanian naval ship Fatundu showcased cooperation and synergy. Highlights included:
