Kerala Launches India’s First State-Run OTT Platform ‘CSpace’

CSpace: The Kerala State Film Development Corporation (KSFDC) launched their 1st ever state-run OTT platform titled CSpace. The web series platform will include short films, documentaries, and other content which can be enjoyed like traditional platforms like Hotstar, Amazon Prime etc. At present, viewers can view 42 films, including 35 feature films, six documentaries, and one short film for viewers to enjoy.  The CSpace app is available from the Play Store and App Store

Managed by the Kerala State Film Development Corporation, it showcases films, documentaries, and shorts overlooked by mainstream platforms, where the viewers can pay Rs. 75 per film on the pay-per-view model of the traditional platform. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurated the OTT platform at Kairali Theatre on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. To maintain content quality on CSpace, the KSFDC has formed a panel of 60 esteemed experts to curate the content including  Benyamin, OV Usha, Santhosh Sivan, Shyamaprasad, Sunny Joseph, and Jeo Baby. Every submission to the platform will undergo an expert assessment by a panel of three members, where 50% of the subscription will go to the original creators.
