Produced by Amit Bhatia and Laveena Bhatia under Mach Films, and distributed by AA Films, the movie was released on February 16, 2024. “Kuch Khattaa Ho Jaay” follows the journey of a young couple who got married due to familial pressure. The girl, with aspirations of becoming an IAS officer, finds unwavering support from her husband. To escape the family’s responsibility, they make the family believe that she is pregnant. As chaos ensues and tensions rise, as she faces the miscarriage and Ira’s inability to conceive again, and what it means for the couple and the family tense daily.

Written by Raj Saluja, Niket Pandey, Vijay Pal Singh and Shobhit Sinha, The storyline revolves around Ira Mishra (Saiee Manjrekar), a bright, aspiring IAS officer, a happy-go-lucky Heer Chawla (Guru Randhawa), and his grandfather Brij Bhushan Chawla (Anupam Kher) who are forced to marry with each other and a husband try to fulfil her wife dream when he learns that she wants to be a civil servant. To help her, they started to make a web of lies about pregnancy which complicated their situation, leading to a family tussle of emotion between 2 families of couple. The story is set in Agra, where films try to capture the sense of the culture of the city which is embedded into the life of the characters. Guru Randhawa, Sachet-Parampara, Meet Bros, Nilesh Ahuja, and Sadhu Sushil Tiwari dropped the chilling soundtrack with Ishare Tere and romantic numbers Jeena Sikhaya.
